CHACA, a Calgary not-for-profit organization, proudly presents an immersive and transformative Cantonese art project that brings together a blend of original drama, theatre workshop, visual art sessions, and scholarly discussion, all centered around the shared theme of Memory Lane.
Travel through an art installation filled with unforgettable memories, participants will then take part in creating a self-portrait mask that reflect both their outward appearance and inner world. This workshop encourages deep self-reflection while fostering creativity and connection, allowing each participant to discover the unseen layers of their identity.
Oleksandr Kyianytsia is a Ukrainian living in Canada with cerebral palsy — but his heart remains with Ukraine. This summer, he has undertaken a 200-kilometre walk from Calgary to Banff to raise funds in support of hospitals located in active war zones.
